About 11.50 Rediscovering Discovery
On July 20, 2019, the Apollo 11 moon landing will celebrate its 50th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, this newspaper celebrates humankind’s greatest achievement and seeks to evoke the long dormant spirit of exploration and curiosity that brought us there.
11.50 Rediscovering Discovery is an abstract, typography-driven homage to that sense of collective discovery. It’s a hand-made invitation – complete with hand held tools – for readers to explore, learn from, and interact with the icons, facts, and figures that made it possible.
All profits from the sale of 11.50 will be donated to The Planetary Society to help further the cause of space exploration.
About Actual Rubbish:
The events in the news seem increasingly unbelievable. And with the stories coming at us from more places than ever at an unrelenting pace, it can be an exhausting thing to experience.
Actual Rubbish sets out to make the news even more unbelievable. It takes real news headlines from real news sources and then mixes them up to see what it might be like if the world went even more insane. The resulting headlines are then presented in a chaotic visual manner meant to approximate the information overload we all experience today.
All profits from the sale of Actual Rubbish will be donated to the Freedom of the Press Foundation to help protect journalistic freedom. So that hopefully, no matter how bizarre the truth gets, we’ll still have journalists out there with the freedom to cover it.
